Let's Gather LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Let's Gather! mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: Phone number, display name, and optional nickname. Your phone number is used for authentication via Firebase Authentication.

Profile Information: Optional profile photo, stored in Firebase Storage.

Availability & Status: Your posted status (free, busy, maybe), time range, optional note, and optional selfie photo.

Social Data: Friends list, favorite friends, friend requests, chat messages, and event/gathering details.

Device Information: Push notification token (FCM token) for sending notifications. We do not collect device identifiers for advertising.

Contacts: If you grant permission, we access your device contacts solely to help you find friends on the App. Contact data is not stored on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To display your availability status to your friends
• To facilitate friend connections, chat, and event planning
• To send push notifications (nudges, friend requests, messages, event invites)
• To improve and maintain the App

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. Your data is shared only with:

• Your Friends: Display name, nickname, availability status, and profile photo are visible to accepted friends.
• Firebase (Google): We use Firebase for authentication, database, storage, cloud functions, and notifications. See Firebase Privacy Policy.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in Firebase Firestore and Firebase Storage on Google Cloud infrastructure. We implement security rules so users can only access authorized data. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, availability data, and remove you from all friends lists.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data within the App
• Update or correct your profile information
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Opt out of push notifications via device settings

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover such data has been collected, we will delete it promptly.

8. Third-Party Services

The App uses Firebase services by Google. We do not integrate any advertising SDKs or third-party analytics that track individual users.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Effective Date" above. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of any changes.
